What exactly is Herarx and who is it for?
Herarx is a secure case management platform for anyone who handles sensitive, structured work. That includes lawyers, compliance officers, HR teams, private investigators, small business owners, researchers, and anyone who needs to organize cases, files, and contacts in a place that takes security seriously. If your work matters and needs to stay organized and protected, Herarx is built for you.
Is Herarx really free? What's the catch?
Yes — Herarx will always have a free tier. There will be paid plans later for teams that need more advanced features, but a free version is here to stay. No credit card needed to sign up, no hidden limits on the free tier.
How does security work? Is my data safe?
Herarx includes two-factor authentication (TOTP + hardware keys), a full audit trail for every action, role-based access control per case, CSRF protection, bcrypt password hashing, automatic session timeouts, TLS-encrypted transport, file encryption at rest, and file storage on separate infrastructure from the database. We haven't yet completed a formal independent security audit — that's on the roadmap. We'll be transparent about the current state as we continue to improve.
Can I use Herarx with my team?
Yes. You can invite team members to cases with specific roles — controlling who can view, edit, or manage each case. Multiple users can work on the same cases, and every action by every team member is logged in the audit trail. It's designed for teams from 2 to 50+.
What types of files can I store?
You can upload and store documents, PDFs, images, and other file types directly within each case. Files have per-file access controls and every file access is recorded in the audit trail — so you always know who accessed what and when.
Does Herarx work on mobile?
There's a mobile-optimised view available now, with improved mobile support actively in development. The full platform is web-based and accessible from any browser on any device.
